Regina´s New Year greetings (11.01.2012)

Dear guests and friends,

Right in time in the New Year I like to address some words to you. First of all I like to thank you for the great success on New Year's Eve. Celebrating this night together with more than 140 couples, enjoying champagne and the great mood is something special for me.

The old year was gone really fast, leaving some major impacts and changes in the social structure, not just in Germany but worldwide. The big earthquake in Japan and the following reactor disaster of Fukushima lead to a new discussion in the field of nuclear safety.
Elsewhere people claimed (and still claim) their rights of participation and democracy in the frame of the Arabian spring. And there were also two royal weddings - for some people in front of the TV a happy moment of the year, as well as nobody is watching it

With this I like to finish the annual review and turn my view forward. The Maihof will closed for holiday, but me and the team will use the time to refurbish a little bit and make the Maihof "spring-ready". At 27th January we will be back in old manner.
